Kalgoorlie Diesel Tank Expansion

BPM Projects was engaged by our client to complete a Diesel Tank Expansion FEED. The project aimed to increase fuel storage capacity at the existing fuel terminal through the construction of a new 2.3ML diesel tank. The additional storage was to be fully integrated into the existing terminal facility assets, including piping, pumps and electrical system.


Our Role

  • Development of FEED engineering deliverables to Approved for Construction (AFC) status to support award of Supply and Construction contracts
  • Preparation of a +/- 10% project CAPEX estimate which required going to the market for costing
  • Oversight of pile design
  • Site visit for final definition of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering and design scope
  • Procurement services, including reconfirmation of offers from tenders for FEED, and final technical and commercial bid evaluations
  • Recommendations for award for each Supply and Construction work package
  • Schedule maintenance and monthly reporting for engineering and design progress with key stakeholders.

Outcome

Client feedback indicated strong satisfaction with BPM Projects’ project delivery in accordance with schedule, cost and quality.
